Brookside Nanny was founded in 2004 to
meet families’ childcare provider needs in Rhode Island,
Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Chicago, Illinois.
At Brookside, we have removed the stress from the process of
finding someone to care for your children by providing you with
a complete online service and the ability to search our database
at your own convenience. Our agency is headed by two moms of
young children – we have four between us under the age of six.

Co-Principal Kendra Harney is a former nanny with 15 years of
experience working for several families on the East Side of
Providence and in Barrington, Rhode Island. We understand the
importance of this choice in your lives, and we are solely
focused on matching your family’s needs to the qualifications of
the many professional childcare providers in our nanny database.
With that goal in mind, we recommend that you thoughtfully
review our online applications and only contact those nannies
that meet your family’s particular needs. We also advise that
you check the nannies’ references available for you to download
on this site. Finally, for an additional fee of $75, we will
conduct a thorough background check on any candidate you have
identified as your potential nanny.

Our experienced staff of professionals
Kendra Harney, 39, has devoted her professional life to
childcare. A nanny for over 15 years, she worked for several
families in Rhode Island. After starting a family of her own,
Kendra, along with Jennifer Nino (click on Jennifer), founded
Brookside Nanny. Kendra lives in Cranston, Rhode Island with her
husband, Michael, five-year old Jack and three- year old
Madison, and their faithful chocolate lab, Gracie.
Jennifer Nino, 35, background is in restaurant and retail
management. The career switch came with the birth of her twin
sons Joshua and Matteo now four. When Kendra her cousin brought
the idea of a nanny agency to her she jumped on board bringing
all her business experience and years of interviewing potential
employees. Jennifer lives in Burrillville, Rhode Island with her
husband, Fernando, sons and Gracie’s best friend a black lab,
Hollie.
Kendra and Jennifer’s vastly different professional backgrounds
compliment each other and enrich Brookside.
